The Seagraves Family

Scott Seagraves is a native of Macon, Georgia but moved to Milledgeville at an early age and was raised here.  He is the son of Felton and Mary Seagraves of Milledgeville and has a brother, Chuck, and a sister, Linda.  He is married to the former Karen Williams of Milledgeville, daughter of the late Jimmy Williams and Gloria Williams.  Scott and Karen have three sons, Joel, Zachary, and Nathan.  Joel is a student at Georgia Southern University, while Zach and Nathan are students at Georgia Military College Prep School. 

 

Scott is a 1980 graduate of Georgia Military College Prep School and graduated from  Georgia College with a bachelors degree in accounting in 1983.  In 1985 he graduated from Atlanta Christian College with a bachelors degree in theology.  While a student at Atlanta Christian College, Scott served Southwest Christian Church as Minister to Single Adults.  In 1989 Scott, Karen, and Joel moved to Auburn, Alabama to assume the role of Campus Minister at Auburn Christian Fellowship.  In 1993, the Seagraves’ family moved to Kingsport, Tennessee to serve Colonial Heights Christian Church as their Minister to Youth and Family,  Scott also attended Emmanuel School of Religion while serving the church in Kingsport.  Following a brief stay in Tennessee, Scott and his family returned to Milledgeville.  Since their return in 1994, Scott has served as a faculty member at Georgia Military College Prep School, teaching and coaching middle school students.  Since returning Scott has completed degrees from Fort Valley State University (Master of Science in Middle School Education) and from Georgia College and State University (Education Specialist in Middle Grades Education with an emphasis in English Education). From 1994 to 2004 he served Hardwick Christian Church as their Minster to Youth and Family and served as a member of the Board of Elders and Deacons until March, 2007.  At that time he was called to serve Pathfinders Christian Church on an interim basis as their Preaching Minister.  In October, 2007 he was called to serve them as their Minister.
